EIMCO is Hiring a Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift Near Farley, IA

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Check with designated lead person on machine assignment and job assignment.
  2. Discuss with current press brake operator from preceding shift about the machines’ performance and any possible difficulties encountered during the course of the shift.
  3. Set-up press brake and forming equipment in accordance with specified set-up procedures and within acceptable set-up requirements.
  4. Create inspection checklist for first-time jobs.
  5. Conduct and document a first-piece inspection and obtain approval from Quality Control before proceeding.
  6. Perform adjustments on machines and/or programs as needed, based upon results of first-piece inspections.
  7. Produce parts on press brake and forming equipment according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements.
  8. Unload and package parts according to EIMCo standards and customer requirements.
  9. Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
  10. Follow instructions from all EIMCo documentation, including: Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
  11. Inform quality control, shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with parts.
  12. Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections in accordance with the EIMCo Quality Manual.
  13. Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead immediately.
  14. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.
  15. Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the EIMCo Safety Manual.
  16. Maintain all required documentation.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpful
  • A willingness to learn and be trained on the EIMCo manufacturing process
  • General skills with hand and power tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects

  • Ability to routinely bend and squat

A mechanical skills background with machine operating experience preferred, but not required.
